Have your luggage transported comfortably

The Matterhorn Alpine Crossing adventure trip is about to begin, and we are very excited. To ensure that you can enjoy all the activities during your trip around the Matterhorn, we will transport your luggage for you.

Please read our luggage regulations (link to our Terms and Conditions) carefully before registering, as only personal items may be included in your luggage, similar to checked luggage on flights.
The most important information in brief:

• Personal registration: Luggage registration must be done in person by each guest, as the luggage and customs regulations must be observed and personally signed for each piece of luggage.
• Transport times: Two luggage transports per day are offered from Zermatt and Cervinia:
  • 1st transport: Check-in by 10am – arrival from 12pm
  • 2nd transport: Check-in by 2pm – arrival from 4pm
• Check-in: Luggage can be checked in at the following locations:
  • Zermatt: Matterhorn-Express valley station
  • Cervinia: Cervino S.p.A ticket office valley station
• Collection: Two hours after drop-off (from 12pm for drop-off at 10am or from 4pm for drop-off by 2pm), luggage can be collected with the collection receipt at the valley station of the destination. The latest collection time is 5pm. Luggage cannot be stored overnight at the destination.
• Costs and payment:
  • From Zermatt: CHF 20.00 per item of luggage (up to 23 kg)
  • From Cervinia: €20.00 per item of luggage (up to 23 kg)

         Payment for the luggage service is made at check-in at the respective valley station.

• Information service: You will receive an SMS confirmation as soon as your luggage arrives at your destination.

• Observe customs regulations: Luggage may only contain personal items for use during the journey, such as clothing, household linen, toiletries, books, etc. (see Customs Ordinance Article 63 and Appendix 1 Art. 63 Personal items  https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/cc/2007/250/de#annex_1) Other goods such as passports, food, tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, foreign currency, jewellery or items that have been purchased or otherwise acquired outside the country of habitual residence and have not yet been declared to the customs authorities of that country, as well as goods that are subject to restrictions and prohibitions or require a certificate or permit, are excluded from luggage transport and are prohibited from import and export. • Controls: independent luggage checks may be carried out by customs authorities at any time.
• Restrictions & revision periods: we will be offering the luggage service from 1 November 2025.
